If you already know how to troubleshoot linksys routers, how about uninstalling a network interface card properly?

If you want to uninstall NIC (Network Interface Card) properly, follow these steps:

1. Right click "My Computer."

2. Select "Properties." System Properties window will pop-up.

3. Select "Hardware" tab.

4. Click "Device Manager" button. Device Manager window will pop-up.

5. Look for "Network Adapters". Select "uninstall".

Insert the LAN card on the PCI of PCMCIA slot on your computer. 3. Turn on the computer. 4. Found New Hardware Wizard box will appear to install the driver on your LAN card 5. Specify the location of the driver.check "Specify A Location" box then click "Browse". 6. Go to the driver location (if the driver is in cd, go to the CDROM drive D:/) then look for the driver folder. Select your OS (operating system) and then click "OK". 7. If you were to insert the Windows 98 CD, you can do the ff: If 98 CD is available -insert the CD and then specify the location of your CDROM drive (D:/Win98) If 98 CD is unavailable 1. C:\windows\options\cabs 2. C:\windows\system 3. C:\Windows\system32 8. Wait for the driver installation to be completed. Restart the computer. NOTE: this is also applicable to other brands of LAN CARD.
